Pimp my Fly Boogie
Back in 2007 group of Finnish freefly girls wanted to improve their flying skills. As a scheme to lure the boys to coach them they came up with the idea of a girl boogie. During those brainstorming days the killer name Pimp my Fly was invented. It has stuck ever since and created some interesting puns in both Finnish and English. The name embodies the very spirit of the event: while enhancing our skills let's not take ourselves too seriously!
In July of 2008 Hanko saw the first ever PMF boogie. The goal was and still is to encourage girls to become more active and goal oriented in enhancing their freeflying skills. During these years we have grown bigger, better and more international, but the spirit remains the same: to learn and to have fun. Most important of all, it is still made by girls for girls. Nowadays this principle is reflected even in our organizer list, no more just boys coaching girls. We are proud of our female organizers and in the years to come hope to expand that list.
